Steward, provided by KINETIK MOTION DESIGNED (PTY) LTD, is free to use. There are no ads and no artificial wait timers, and the whole habit tracker runs on your own device at no cost.
The only exception, described in section 3, is the cloud-based extras (push reminders, account creation and multi-device sync), which are free while in testing and will become a paid Pro subscription in future.
Steward is sustained by voluntary contributions from users who want to back its development. No payments are currently processed through the app, and no support prompts are shown. If a way to contribute is reintroduced, it will always be voluntary: declining or dismissing it never limits the app in any way, and supporter badges (Spark, Flame, Forge Steward) are honorary recognition only. They unlock nothing.
Everything that runs on your device stays free forever: habits, identities, votes, streaks, grace shields, the friction log, reflections and your local data.
Cloud-based features are different, because they cost money to run every month. Account creation, multi-device sync and push reminders will become part of a paid Pro subscription in future.
Push reminders are currently offered as a free test feature for early users while we prove the system. They are anonymous and need no account today. When reminders move to Pro we will publish the price on this page and give existing users notice inside the app before any charge begins.
Contributions go directly toward keeping Steward free and growing: development time, hosting and infrastructure, and new features, so that the app can remain free for people who cannot or choose not to pay.
No payments are currently processed through Steward. When paid Pro features (such as cloud-based reminders, accounts and sync) launch, the payment provider, cancellation terms and refund terms will be published on this page and on our Refund Policy page before any charge begins.
